چکیده
The mass transfer of a rising bubble in creeping flow regime is numerically investigated. A reversible oxidation-reduction reaction taken into account. Two coupled equations are needed to study the oxygen and reduced species transport. Three dimensionless numbers involved: Péclet Damköhler ratio diffusion coefficient oxygen. Numerical computations applied soda-lime-silica borosilicate glass-forming liquids. Numerical Modeling of the Photothermal Processing for Bubble Forming around Nanowire in a Liquid
An accurate computation of the temperature is an important factor in determining the shape of a bubble around a nanowire immersed in a liquid. The study of the physical phenomenon consists in solving a photothermic coupled problem between light and nanowire. The numerical multiphysic model is used to study the variations of the temperature and the shape of the created bubble by illumination of ...

This paper presents a numerical study of local mass transfer coefficients in a 90° bend using the RNG version of k–e model to include the influence of curvature on the turbulent transport. Simulations were performed for flow through a 90°, 3-D bend for Reynolds numbers of 13500, 90000, and 390000, Schmidt numbers of 2.53 and 700 and curvature ratios of 1.5, 2, and 2.5. The differences betwe...
متن کاملNumerical simulation of bubble rising in viscous liquid
An improved numerical algorithm for front tracking method is developed to simulate the rising of a bubble in quiescent viscous liquid due to buoyancy. In the new numerical algorithm, volume correction is introduced to conserve the bubble volume while tracking the bubble’s rising and deforming, and volume flux conservation based SIMPLE algorithm is adopted to solve the Navier–Stokes equation for...
متن کاملNumerical Simulation of Scaling Effect on Bubble Dynamics in a Turbulent Flow around a Hydrofoil
A Lagrangian-Eulerian numerical scheme for the investigation of bubble motion in turbulent flow is developed. The flow is analyzed in the Eulerian reference frame while the bubble motion is simulated in the Lagrangian one. Finite volume scheme is used, and SIMPLEC algorithm is utilized for the pressure and velocity linkage. The Reynolds stresses are modeled by the RSTM model of Launder. Upwind ...
